Changing lives in Porter County one person at a time.

PCFCC was established in 1968 as a non-profit mental health counseling center dedicated to providing low cost therapy to individuals in Porter County.  Our vision is to educate the community about mental health issues.

PCFCC is able to provide services at a low cost by serving as an internship site for students in social work, counseling,  PsyD programs and other mental health related fields.  Our students/interns provide the counseling services under the supervision of our Clinical Director. Internships are a mutual benefit to the clients, the student, their academic institution, PCFCC and the entire community.

PCFCC offers a sliding scale fee which takes into consideration a client’s financial situation.  Session fees can be as low as $10.00.  PCFCC works with clients from all socio-economic backgrounds. The agency will not refuse service to anyone because of an inability to pay, nor will PCFCC discriminate in providing services on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual preference, national origin or handicap.

In 2012, we provided more than 2000 hours of direct mental health therapy to more than 260 clients.  These clients were comprised of individuals, couples and families from Valparaiso, Portage, Chesterton, South Haven, Porter, Kouts and other surrounding areas.
