PCFCC can tailor this training to your needs.  These topics can be presented anywhere from a one hour speaking engagement, to a multi week  course, to an ongoing class.

Anger Management

Keeping My Cool
is a 13 week anger management group that teaches individuals the in’s and out’s of emotional regulation.  This group provides a safe space for individuals to share their personal experiences with emotional regulation issues.  This course will provide strategies to cope with a variety of emotions in constructive not destructive ways.  Each week a new emotional management tool will be added to each participant’s mental “toolbox.”





Girl Power!

Girl Power!
is an educational, skill-building and creative group designed to introduce girls to concepts and skills that promote a positive self-image. Girl Power assists girls to challenge social rules and media messages that diminish a girl's sense of self as they move toward adolescence. The group activities raise self-esteem, self-worth and increase abilities to cope with the upcoming teen challenges. Through a connection to inner resources girls will explore ways to claim a healthy connection to themselves, peers, and the community.


Life Skills

Super 6 Life Skills!
  is a six month course that meets once a month to work on skills that enable participants to change and improve the skills necessary to move forward from homelessness, recovery from addiction or long term unemployment.  The way individuals interact and perceive the world is integral to how much success they achieve.  Learning new skills also keeps individuals competitive in the constantly changing world.




Bridges Out of Poverty

In this training we will explore the mental models and hidden rules of social class.  Learn about the psychological costs of poverty and learn constructs for change.   Bridges Out of Poverty is a book and an approach that helps employers, community organizations, social-service agencies, and individuals address poverty in a comprehensive way. People from all economic classes come together to improve job retention rates, build resources, improve outcomes, and support those who are moving out of poverty.



The Women's Empowerment Group

The Women’s Empowerment Group
is open to ALL women who would like to discuss various issues affecting women.   The focus of the group is to provide education, information and support on a variety of topics which will be chosen by group members.  It is held in a confidential, small setting and all levels of participation are supported.




Safe Dates and Healthy Relationships

Safe Dates & Healthy Relationships
is an educational, skill-building group for adolescent girls and boys where they learn to understand what constitutes a healthy relationship and an abusive relationship.  Participants will identify and discuss dating abuse, its causes, and consequences and provide participants with the skills and resources to help themselves or friends in abusive dating relationships.  Participants will learn to strengthen skills so they can continue to develop healthy dating relationships,  that include positive communication, anger management, and conflict resolution.


Motivational Techniques


Progress Review/Motivational Techniques
is a course designed for non-profit and for profit entities who are front end service providers.   This training assists individuals in helping others to think differently about their behavior and ultimately to consider what might be gained through change. Motivational interviewing focuses on the present, and entails assisting others to access the motivation to change a particular behavior, that is not consistent with the individual's personal value or goal.  Participants will also learn to roll with resistance, support self-efficacy, express empathy.
